SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY: Duncan MacKellar.
Duncan is an aerospace engineer whose early career focused on designing and testing advanced power management and display systems for commercial and military aircraft. Alongside this work, he began developing full-sized, fixed-base flight simulator technologies—a passion that became his primary focus after leaving the corporate world. He has since expanded his expertise into high-fidelity desktop simulation, complementing his fixed-base simulator projects and specialising in complex aircraft systems, avionics modelling, and immersive simulation environments.
Duncan is an active participant in WorldFlight, a global flight-simulation charity event, contributing both technically and operationally, and has helped raise over £50,000 for Fly2Help and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity as part of Team Velocity. Outside of Engineering, he pursues photography with a particular interest in aviation and landscapes and can usually be found exploring North Wales or working with air arms from around the world.
Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over, children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
