The Lighthouseprovides a shared workspace and community for entrepreneurs, homeworkers, and small business people in Sidmouth and surrounding towns and villages.The first of its kind in the area,The Lighthouseaims to build connection and community, reducing the isolation felt by many small business owners, and to foster inclusivity and productivity.Based at 44 Mill Street (just behind the old Nat West building)The Lighthouseis ideally situated in the heart of Sidmouth and provides a light filled, contemporary workspace where members can log in and get down to business.Co-founded by two local entrepreneurs (Cathy Debenham and Louise Thompson)The Lighthouseaims to be much more than just a workspace:The Lighthousehas a full calendar year of events – social, learning and developmental - to allow business owners to meet, learn and collaborate.There are three levels of monthly membership available – affordable for even the smallest of small business. A social membership (masterclasses, events and half a day a week in The Lighthouse) at £15/mth, a flexi-time membership for the workspace and community at £35/mth and a fulltime membership of just £75 for those wanting to make the space their main office base.

We are thrilled to be hosting this information-packed Masterclass from local digital media specialist Nikki Peckham from <a href="https://www.pkmdigital.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">pkmdigital.co.uk. </a>This Masterclass will be in Zoom and at lunchtime (12noon-2pm) so it fits around the school run for those of you juggling family and your business building. Nikki will teach you:<ul><li>How to make an impact through your Instagram profile</li></ul><ul><li>How to create a balanced Instagram feed</li></ul><ul><li>How to build an engaged audience through stories</li></ul><ul><li>How to grow your followers on Instagram</li></ul><ul><li>What this new thing called reels is! You need to know!</li></ul>Nikki has a BA (Hons) Marketing Degree, a CIM Certificate in Digital Marketing and an Advanced Diploma in Strategic Social Media Marketing. A career in web development, launching e-commerce websites and developing and creating content and finally specialising in digital channels means that whatever questions you have - Nikki has the answers! Ideally, watch the Masterclass on your laptop on Zoom and be able to action directly in the class on your phone on Instagram so you can immediately experiment with what you are learning.
