The Instant Pause has supported hundreds of women and men at times of change in their lives. Including me.

My name is Vix Anderton and I am the founder of The Practical Balance, a platform that helps entrepreneurs create success in their lives and businesses by balancing their energies and getting in tune with their natural rhythms. I work with entrepreneurs one-to-one and in small groups to make the everyday hustle both happy and healthy.

I was drawn to The Instant Pause during a time of great change in my life. It was just what I needed. It was amazing to have a day to just do nothing but be myself. It gave me the breathing space I needed to take stock of where I was and how I felt. In a world of constant doing, The Instant Pause was a space to ‘just be’. These practices have helped bring more clarity to my past and my future and connect me more to the present, right here and now. They are practices I return to again and again.

We so rarely take a whole day to connect with ourselves like this - there’s always something else to do, somewhere else to be. So many of us find it hard to take time away from doing things – it feels scary to slow down, even for a minute.

This is a chance to stop and explore your personal creative leadership.

The Instant Pause is based on time-honoured traditions that work. We use methods you can take away with you that will help reduce the overwhelm you feel on a day-to-day basis.

How the day works:

The morning is all focused on helping you find your place. We’ll be looking backwards to start the day to build a foundation to look forward in the afternoon. We’ll take some time on arrival to settle into the space, your body, and connection with the rest of the group.

After lunch, we’ll be tuning into your vision for your life and where you want to go in a fun, creative way. In these spaces between the busyness of life, you have choice about what you want to let in and the intentions you want to hold moving forward.

The Instant Pause helps you look back to move forward. Establishing a clear platform from which you can springboard the next stage of your journey. It’s a day designed to bring you back into balance when you most need it. Space is one way that energy can flow. When we take some time to slow down and create space, we can accelerate more powerfully in the right direction.
