Advanced Developer Workshop on HPC and AI for Financial Services

Grey Matter

HPC and AI technologies, both hardware and software, are accelerating the transformation of the Financial Services industry. In this workshop, specially targeted at Software Developers, Quants, Data Scientists, Financial Engineers, HPC Experts and Decision Makers in the technical area, you will learn how to develop, optimize and implement financial applications using HPC, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
Join us for this 2-day workshop including deep-dive training sessions with industry experts from Intel® Software, NAG®, Google, Microsoft and many more. This is a great opportunity to network with peers and experts from the industry.
The workshop features 2 tracks each day:
 
<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">DAY 1 - Intel Sessions and Guest Speakers</H2>
On Wednesday 27 March, the workshop is split into two tracks. These sessions are presentations and demos. You will not be required to do any hands-on elements.

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">TRACK 1 - HPC / Cloud*</H3>
This track is dedicated to advanced developers with interest in Adjoint Algorithmic Differentiation (AAD), reproducibility in numerical computations and STAC benchmark suite performance.
We will go further with an exploration of New Intel® Optane™ DC Persistent Memory(*) applied to STAC M3 benchmark and Finance Library for Intel® FPGAs(*). The sessions will conclude with very interesting case studies on Cloud Infrastructure from our CSP guests.

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">TRACK 2 - AI / Machine Learning</H3>
The focus of this track will be on AI and Machine Learning and is suitable for intermediate developers.
We will present and demonstrate Intel’s technical best practices for speeding-up Machine Learning, Analytics and Deep Learning deployment on Intel® CPU based platforms.
Partner’s case studies will complement this day of lectures.

On Thursday 28 March, the workshop is again split into two tracks. However, these are hands-on sessions. Please bring along your laptop (and charger).

These are hands-on sessions for advanced developers. These hands-on sessions for advanced developers will be led by Intel engineers. We will put the subjects introduced in Day 1 into practice, including Intel® FPGA SDK for OpenCL™(*)

<H3 CLASS="MsoNormal">TRACK 2 - AI / Machine Learning </H3>
These are hands-on sessions for intermediate developers based on Deep Learning inference acceleration with Intel® Deep Learning Deployment Toolkit, Intel® High Performance Analytics Toolkit (HPAT) along with performance building blocks like the Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) and the Intel® Data Analytics Acceleration Library (Intel® DAAL)

Grey Matter is hosting this event in collaboration with Intel® Software. The workshop will take place at the De Vere Canary Wharf conference building in London. Please note that when you register, your data will be shared with both Grey Matter and Intel Software for the purposes of organizing this event.
