Next Friday, Abhijeet Singh and Kamran Sajid will be facilitating an interactive poetry workshop around the themes of Sarah Al-Sarraj’s exhibition Limbs of the Lunar Disc. Sarah Al-Sarraj’s pieces are a pertinent and stunning meditation on theme such as modernity, the sentimental and commodification. Abhijeet and Kamran will invite participants to explore and reflect on the artwork; prompting big personal and global questions, and writing poetry with their findings. Come along and lose yourself in Sarah’s thrilling artwork, under the guidance of two of Manchester’s most compelling poets! -- Abhijeet Singh is a poet and translator based in Manchester. His worked has appeared in Propel and The Bombay Literary Magazine. He is recipient of a Collaborative Doctoral Award by Manchester City of Literature and Manchester Metropolitan University.Kamran Sajid is a writer currently based in Manchester. His writing taps into an underworld intuition; an occult, tuberous, arcane exploration in surrealism, codeswitching and primordialism. He has read his poetry at Simon Armitage’s ‘Blossomise’ book launch, Manchester Literature Festival and Aviva Studios. Kamran has performed his poetry internationally too - recently with Young Identity at Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. He won the 2025 Forward Prizes Young Poets’ Summit Slam, and was a Shadow Judge of the 2024 Forward Prizes. You can find more of his work on Instagram (@kamransajid_).
