INTERCESSORY PRAYER CONFERENCE 2016

Pastors Victor and Lydia founded Elpis Christian Ministries on 10 May 1998. The vision of the Church is to make the Name of the Lord Great, taken from Malachi 1:11 and our mission is to create an atmosphere of acceptance. Standing in the Gap is an all important part of realising this vision and mission.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
Never has it been so important to pray for the well being of our country, its rulers and its’ people, as we both look upon daily events, and see the world changing for the worse. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says that in the last days people will be lovers self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. We are seeing all these things around us today. The United Kingdom has drifted further and further away from God and His principles that once made this Country great. We see the Body of Christ being silenced. Christians are maligned, discriminated against and shut out. 2 Tim 3:1-5 has come to pass. It is our aim in our Prayer Conference to supplicate, pray and intercede for the return of our nation and those in authority to a position of fear of and faith in God.

We are blessed to have highly anointed men and a woman of God who do not compromise on the delivery of the Word which has blessed so many thousands of people.

 Pastor Ade has been in full time ministry in the UK for over 25 years with a sincere heart for servant leadership. He is a co-founder of several organisations/groups, namely; the Christian Victory Group - ICARE Projects, which has helped set up over 80 Social Action/Inclusion projects in the last 20 years, Christian Concern, the Christian Legal Centre and National Church Leaders Forum (NCLF), a black Christian voice. He is a member of the leadership team of HOPE Together which seeks to resource and equips the Church for doing mission locally. He also serves as a Trustee of the Global Day of Prayer, London, a part of the Global Prayer Movement and is a member of the Apostolic Team of Connection Trust, a global network of churches.
