Event description

Description

The Manchester Molecular Pathology Innovation Centre (MMPathIC), co-funded by EPSRC and MRC, aims to develop the next generation of molecular pathology tests and diagnostics. This workshop will bring together clinicians, biologists, engineers and physical scientists, to examine the hurdles that must be overcome for effective interdisciplinary working to achieve MMPathICs objective to get new tests to the clinic and market.

This workshop will allow attendees to hear talks from previous awardees of MMPathICs pump-priming flexible fund and also serve as an opportunity to inform/ influence the next funding call available to pump-prime novel interdisciplinary projects (up to £30k). Details on how UoM researchers and MAHSC colleagues will be able to access this fund will be provided at the workshop.

As a participant in this exciting initiative, you are invited to our next facilitated workshop; to share your own expertise, experiences, interests, successes and failures with like-minded individuals at an open forum meeting. The workshop will start at 12:00 with lunch, followed by facilitated discussion and networking opportunities in the afternoon, and finishing at 17:00.
