Founded in 2013, Turf Projects is the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in Croydon, South London.Established by creatives with a personal connection to the borough, Turf now comprises; a gallery space exhibiting work from emerging and established artists; an artists workspace and events space; and a small studio provision for artists and makers.We endeavor to create free, high quality exhibitions and events for Croydon both at our workshop & gallery space in the Whitgift Centre and out in the Croydon community.

Reintroducing a process first tested digitally with Arts Catalyst Sheffield, here participants will manipulate sound to capture and project sonic narratives of vacancy. Using material foraged in previous sessions, participants will build DIY phonographs to capture sonic traces that will contribute to a soundscape to reimagine vacancy A﻿BOUT RESOLVE COLLECTIVE<a href="https://www.resolvecollective.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RESOLVE</a> is an interdisciplinary design collective that combines architecture, engineering, technology and art to address social challenges. They have delivered numerous projects, workshops, publications, and talks in the UK and across Europe, all of which look toward realising just and equitable visions of change in our built environment.A﻿BOUT TURF:Founded in 2013 by Croydon locals, Turf is Croydon’s homegrown artist space and the first entirely artist-run contemporary art space in the borough. Based in Croydon’s Whitgift Shopping Centre, we put on free exhibitions 7 workshops, provide affordable artist studios, run a free creative project space for locals &amp; host a number of other local creative organisations and collectives. A registered charity, Turf aims to provide paid opportunities for artists and creatives who might otherwise be undersupported.
