Flourishing Lives is a London-wide coalition of organisations taking a creative, relational approach to supporting richer, more independent lives for older people.We believe that building quality relationships is the heart of our work - genuinely engaging with older people as unique individuals and forming close bonds with the dedicated staff and volunteers who work alongside them.We connect practitioners, day centres, major arts organisations, health & fitness initiatives and community outreach programmes so that knowledge, research and resources can be shared and the very highest level of practice can be established across the sector.We are very grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund and the Baring Foundation for funding our work.

An informal discussion for arts & wellbeing providers to meet and share ideas around developing intergenerational practice in their services

Join us for a free online gathering, in partnership with <a href="https://www.imm-music.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Intergenerational Music Making</a>, an informal space for arts &amp; wellbeing providers to meet and share ideas around developing intergenerational practice in their services. The session will be led by Charlotte Miller (Founder &amp; Director) and Emily Abbott (Programme Director) at Intergenerational Music Making  - a national not-for-profit working to advance wellbeing and social cohesion through projects, creative social hubs, training, research and campaigning. During the session, IMM will focus on presenting the findings taken from their recent conference, &#x27;Intergenerational Practice: Creative Change Together&#x27;, with the aim to spark discussion and debate around key themes and ideas presented:   <ul><li>Intergenerational Injustices 
</li><li>The role of places and spaces </li><li>Social value 
</li><li>Community ripple effect 
</li><li>Youth action    </li></ul>The webinar will provide a platform for sharing ideas, best practice, and experiences, considering solutions and informing the next steps for intergenerational practice. What role must we all play in advocating and who needs to join the conversation? About the Intergenerational Forum:This forum is an informal space for peer sharing and learning. We meet quarterly and anyone who is interested in developing their intergenerational practice is very welcome to join!This forum is for arts and wellbeing providers who want to:<ul><li>reflect on learnings from intergenerational projects</li><li>celebrate the successes</li><li>discuss the challenges</li><li>meet other people interested in sharing &amp; developing intergenerational practice in their work</li><li>and discuss ideas for how we can create more opportunities for intergenerational connections going forward. </li></ul>Join us to share ideas, refine your intergenerational practices and meet other progressive people who are striving to innovate and excel in services for older and younger people.About Intergenerational Music Making:<a href="https://www.imm-music.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Intergenerational Music Making</a> aims to build bridges across generations, sectors and amongst professionals to create stronger, more cohesive communities. Using the power of music we bring children, older people and communities together to create and connect. Through our projects, training and research we aim to encourage a sense of belonging to provide spaces for voices to be heard and celebrated. Our work aids the improvement of mental and physical wellbeing and reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
