Internal Storytelling workshop
Building confidence through shared creativity, expression and empowering stories.
Create some empowering new stories! This is a unique day workshop designed for people who are ready to move towards their goals but feel stuck or held back by lack of clarity, confidence, negative thoughts or self sabotage.
This workshop takes place on our land in The Brecon Beacons. It will meet you wherever you are. We will guide you through introspective artistic processes that will leave you with personalised techniques and a handmade artwork to inspire and support you in your everyday life.
Our workshops have been specifically designed using art as therapy to help you take your next steps in life by exploring what may have been holding you back. They are designed with beautiful outcomes in mind, regardless of whether the last time you used a paintbrush was in primary school, or you’re so highly qualified that you find it hard to create freely!
We host no more than 12 people at a time to ensure everyone receives plenty of support and guidance.

Over the last few years we’ve not only used our techniques to support ourselves and our community, but we have met more and more people looking for this kind of support. We've designed this workshop to support with:
- Identifying personal blocks and self judgements
- Encouraging more gentle self-talk
- Gaining clarity on goals and priorities
- Encouraging authentic creative expression
- Exploring ways to live more in line with personal values
- Providing tangible and effective tools and methods to use in every day life
Additional Information
Arrival is 10am.
We will spend a day together where we'll guide you through a variety of creative and introspective exercises around storytelling and internal processes, and you'll create an artwork that explores how you'd like to move forwards with your year.
Some of the images for this workshop show some beautifully created personalised card decks. These are the outcome of our Internal Storytelling weekend workshop, which will take place again this Summer. As this particular workshop is only a day long, we will only be creating one storytelling artwork rather than an entire card deck!
We have a friendly dog and 2 lovely cats on site.
What will you walk away with?
Personalised techniques and a handmade artwork designed to increase your confidence and support you with your goals.
Who are we?
Clare & Holly: a pair of creatives who have both climbed out of a pit of self-destructive behaviours and thought patterns, and stepped away from traditional roles and societal expectations.
For the last two years, we've been building community together at The Lavender Project, aiming to live as sustainably as possible and build and maintain healthy, supportive relationships. We’ve been helping people around us to do the same, using our own insights, practices and tried and tested techniques. We’ve been given wonderful feedback on how impactful this work is, so now we've put it all together into three weekend workshops.
We're excited to share our resources, strategies and knowledge with a wider community- hopefully including you!
Testimonials
"The Internal Storytelling workshop was really fun. There was a really good vibe and everyone was happy working on the task, but in their own way. I liked that the instructions on what to do where given in a way that we didn’t feel like we were being told that we had to do anything or that there was any pressure. There was lots of freedom, and we could’ve chosen to do it any way we wanted. There was a big choice of all the different things and materials; all the stuff we could’ve possibly needed or wanted to use, and lots of guidance and help if we weren’t sure about anything. I ended up being very pleased with what I did. I don’t consider myself very good at drawing, or at anything to do with art in any way, but what I ended up with was really good!"
“I had a list as long as my arm of things I needed to achieve, so I was clear with what needed to be done, but at every point I found myself sabotaging and undermining. Hollys’ sessions gave me rock solid techniques and Clare’s produced physical objects to support my process and I’ve used them every day since."
“Working creatively with Clare was always very inspiring. With every project I learned something new whether that be skills, about the materials we were working with or about myself. I always felt very trusted and free with implementing my own ideas while also receiving support whenever needed. I left each time with new motivation to come up with my own projects.”
