Overview

Join us for this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the world of the Internet of Things in a way that’s creative and approachable!

Join us at Gallery 19a for an interactive workshop explore the Internet of Things (IoT) in a way that’s creative and approachable. Led by exhibiting artist Tim Minter (@timminter), you’ll learn how to connect objects to the digital world.

No heavy coding required. We’ll use visual programming to make it fun and intuitive. By the end, you’ll know how to control simple devices that could be in the same room or anywhere in the world. Perfect for artists, designers, and makers who want to add interactivity to their projects. Bring your curiosity, no prior tech experience needed!

Date: Wednesday 14th January 2026, 11am - 1pm

We will have refreshments i.e. tea and coffee and our wood-burning stove for warmth. This is a great place to meet like-minded people!

Please note: The workshop requires bringing your own laptop but please let us know if you'd like to attend and don't have access to one as we have a couple spare - gallery@19a.org
