Intro to Stage/Screen Combat

Swashbuckling Cornwall was set up in 2014 with the aim of bringing Stage Combat to Cornwall. It provides a range of courses for all abilities, professionals and amateurs alike.   We passionately believe that Stage Combat can not only increase the skills level of those working in the creative industries but can also be of great benefit when it comes to understanding theatrical and national heritage. The bonus is that it is great fun and an alternative to the gym.

Ever wanted to come and give stage/screen combat a try? Well know you can in these taster sessions.During these workshops we will put you through your paces with a range of footwork, stances, attacks, and defences that form the foundation of stage and screen combat fighting.Join on the Thursday 20th Nov at 6pm for a session lasting 50-55mins long.Cost: £10* per person, per workshop.(*plus fees)For these workshops we shall be using swords made from polyurethane and commonly used across the theatre and film industry.These workshops are open to those over 18.
