Wimbledon Athletics Track

This training session is for members of Wimbledon Windmilers only
This session is intended for those who may be easing back into things or who’ve not done much/any track-based training previously. Very much suitable for all including new members.
Meet : Wimbledon Park Athletics Track, North Gate.
Coach: Andrew Black
Pace: Suitable for all paces/abilities.
Session: The track environment can be offputting for some but in reality it’s the perfect location for all speeds and ability levels, as it’s obstacle-free and there&#x27;s no possibility of being ‘left behind’. So if you aren’t certain about whether track is for you, this session will hopefully demystify things a little and make it feel more comfortable to take part in future track sessions. There will be some unpressured running and preparatory work, but we&#x27;ll also be talking about terminology, how to use the track space, and the different ways that track can be used to build fitness, improve form and reduce injury risk.
COVID-19 rules: By registering for this session you agree to follow the club&#x27;s participant session rules (https://www.windmilers.org.uk/node/18127). You also confirm that, within the last 14 days, you have not (1) experienced symptoms of Covid-19, (2) tested positive for Covid-19, (3) been living with someone who has recently tested positive, or (4) been required to quarantine for any other reason. If the answer is yes to any of these between now and the club session, you will cancel your place, self-isolate, and report your infection to NHS Test &amp; Trace and to the club. You will bring to the attention of the club coaches any medical condition that may be relevant to participating safely in club activities, obtaining medical approval from your GP as needed.
COVID-19 symptoms: If you have attended a session then subsequently realise you have symptoms of Covid-19, please let the club know, as well as contacting NHS Test &amp; Trace, and please don&#x27;t wait until you have a positive test result before telling us. If you have any questions about the club&#x27;s Covid-19 procedures or wish to let us know that you may have Covid-19, please contact our Covid-19 Coordinator, Anne Davies, at secretary@windmilers.org.uk
Toilets &amp; bag drop: Please assume that there are no toilets and no bag drop facility, unless specified otherwise by the coach. Any property is left entirely at the owner&#x27;s risk. Please arrive dressed ready to run.

Places are limited and there is often a waiting list. Please only register if you can definitely attend. If unexpected circumstances mean you have to cancel, we prefer that you cancel via Eventbrite, but if not possible please contact coaching@windmilers.org.uk
