About this event
The number of young learners (YL) currently studying English as a second or other language remains high worldwide. As such, many TESOL teachers find themselves in the YL classroom at some point on their TESOL journey.
Trinity College London's in-service Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC) is a specialist certificate designed to help meet the continuing professional development needs of teachers working with learners aged 7 to 16, and to recognise the specialist skills and knowledge needed to successfully teach YLs in the communicative language classroom.
In this webinar, we will look at how the TYLEC is designed to build knowledge, understanding and confidence in areas such as using and adapting and creating resources, classroom management and lesson planning in the YL context.
In partnership with a TYLEC validated course provider, we will also demonstrate some key techniques explored in the course, answer any questions you may have about course delivery, assessment and recognition, and consider the advantages to obtaining the TYLEC in terms of career progression and pathways.
