Introducing Women’s Wellbeing Art Journaling 3

Today I am grateful for…

HB pencil

Explore YOUR style

All other materials are supplied, but you must bring your own journal + one drink purchase required

Come and join us in The Doing Room, in the unique village of Ruddington. In these introductory sessions, we will explore what is important and inspiring in your life, learn art techniques, and develop ways to enhance your well-being. We will reflect on journeys and locations, the meaning of everyday objects, appreciating the natural world, observing your day, things you’re grateful for and your inspirations, among more topics…The sessions are designed to be fun; the emphasis is on your enjoyment rather than artistic outcomes, although you will practice using different media and develop your own style. Art journals are not intended to be perfect; instead, they serve as a space for exploration, learning, enjoyment, reflection, and spontaneity. The journaling journey never ends. The most important prerequisite is not experience, it is a mindset of permission – you give yourself permission to play and explore.

We will explore various source materials, including printouts/photos, images from our imagination, and items from life. This will remind you to consult multiple sources for your ongoing journaling practice and teach you the fundamentals before we proceed to more organic sessions in Spring Term 2. It doesn’t matter if you don’t attend every session, as each session will stand alone. If possible, start collecting interesting scraps of paper in preparation for this. You may also want to begin exploring lettering styles you like and print a few out to practice.

All Materials are supplied, but you must bring your own journal.
