Our purpose is to support communities and planning authorities to work better together in shaping places.We work with local planning authorities to support approaches for thoughtful community engagement as part of a proactive planning process.We work with community and town councils to see the world from their perspective and explain the planning process, their role in it and what they can achieve.Ein diben yw cefnogi cymunedau ac awdurdodau cynllunio i weithio’n well gyda’i gilydd wrth lunio cynefinoedd.Rydym yn gweithio gydag awdurdodau cynllunio lleol i gefnogi dulliau o ymgysylltiad ystyrlon â chymunedau fel rhan o broses gynllunio rhagweithiol.Rydym yn gweithio â chynghorau cymuned a thref i weld y byd o’u persbectif hwy ac esbonio’r broses gynllunio, eu rôl ynddi a’r hyn y gallant eu gyflawni.

Free online training seminars for communities about Strategic Development Plans.

Planning Aid Wales would like to invite all Community and Town Councils and community groups in Wales to one of four online training seminars on Strategic Development Plans in February 2024.Every planning application in Wales is currently decided against local and national development plans and policies. In future, they will also be decided against this new form of regional plan.Four new Strategic Development Plans will be produced, one each for North Wales, Mid Wales, Southwest Wales and Southeast Wales.These plans are extremely important because they will identify the scale and location of housing and employment growth in each region and will allocate strategic sites for development.Designed specifically for community representatives, the four 2.5hr online training seminars will cover the following topics:<ul><li>The development plan system in Wales and what it means for communities</li><li>What Strategic Development Plans are and how they will be prepared;</li><li>The effects Strategic Development Plans will have on the development plan system and,</li><li>Why and how communities should engage with the preparation of these plans.</li></ul>As well as presentations on the above, the courses will include interactive exercises and several opportunities for questions and discussion. Yn y dyfodol, bydd penderfyniadau hefyd yn cael eu gwneud yn erbyn y math newydd hwn o gynllun rhanbarthol.Bydd pedwar Cynllun Datblygu Strategol newydd yn cael eu cynhyrchu, un yr un ar gyfer Gogledd Cymru, Canolbarth Cymru, De-orllewin Cymru a De-ddwyrain Cymru.Mae'r cynlluniau hyn yn hynod bwysig oherwydd byddant yn nodi maint a lleoliad twf tai a chyflogaeth ym mhob rhanbarth a byddant yn dyrannu safleoedd strategol i'w datblygu.Wedi'u cynllunio'n benodol ar gyfer cynrychiolwyr cymunedol, bydd y pedwar seminar hyfforddi ar-lein 2.5 awr yn ymdrin â'r pynciau canlynol:<ul><li>Y system cynllun datblygu yng Nghymru a'r hyn mae'n ei olygu i gymunedau</li><li>Beth yw Cynlluniau Datblygu Strategol a sut y byddant yn cael eu paratoi;</li><li>Yr effeithiau y bydd Cynlluniau Datblygu Strategol yn eu cael ar y system cynllun datblygu a,</li><li>Pam a sut y dylai cymunedau ymgysylltu â pharatoi'r cynlluniau hyn.</li></ul>Yn ogystal â chyflwyniadau ar yr uchod, bydd y cyrsiau'n cynnwys ymarferion rhyngweithiol a nifer o gyfleoedd ar gyfer cwestiynau a thrafodaeth.
