Event description

Description

This workshop is free, we are asking for a £10 deposit which will secure your place and will be refunded when you arrive.

Join us for an introduction to 3D modelling and printing workshop led by Fusion 360 evangelist and product designer, Paul Sohi.

By the end of the session you will have designed and 3D modelled a plant pot which can be printed and collected after the workshop has finished.

This is a great workshop for those interested in the possibilities of 3D printing.

You will need to bring your own laptop with you. Computer requirements here. All of our spare laptops have now been taken so if your machine doesn't meet the requirements I would recommend trying to borrow one from a friend.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

What is Fusion 360 ?

Fusion 360 is a 3D design package created by Autodesk for hobbyist, students and start up companies. It’s a professional and easy to use package, which combines parametric mechanical design with easy to use free form modelling tools. You can easily export your designs made in Fusion 360 and materialize them on a 3D printer or create a slick render of your design, with the help of the built in render engine.

This work was supported by the Sheffield Culture Consortium through Year of Making 2016, Making Ways and Arts Council England Ambition for Excellence.
