What kind of print is it?

Prints will be made using polystyrene press print blocks which can be ‘carved’ with a pencil.

Do you need to have had any art experience or be good at drawing?

If you can do basic “colouring in” you can create these prints. Everything else will be clearly explained.

Is an apron needed?

As the printing inks can stain clothes an old shirt, apron or wearing old clothes is strongly recommended.

What age is it suitable for?

This simple, no sharp tools, method is suitable for junior school children and adults alike. It can be as easy or complex as the student prefers.

Is the teacher fully qualified?

This workshop will be taught by Liz Edwards who has a lifetime’s experience in the secondary art classroom in the UK and abroad. She was also the Hampshire County Council Advanced Skills Art teacher whose work has involved teaching both teachers and children.
