KO-NEKT’s Introduction to Care is a free 12-week pre-employment training programme designed for unemployed adults aged 18+ who want to take their first steps into a meaningful and rewarding career in health and social care.
This course combines interactive training, personal development, and real-world work experience, helping you build the skills, confidence, and knowledge employers are looking for.
What You’ll Gain
- Increased confidence and workplace readiness
- Practical experience through a supported care placement
- Improved communication skills, including active listening and empathy
- Understanding of key care frameworks and legislation
- Awareness of trauma-informed and person-centred care
- First aid awareness and basic risk assessment skills
- A work-ready CV and support to progress into employment, training, or further qualifications
