KO-NEKT’s Introduction to Care is a free 12-week pre-employment training programme designed for unemployed adults aged 18+ who want to take their first steps into a meaningful and rewarding career in health and social care.

This course combines interactive training, personal development, and real-world work experience, helping you build the skills, confidence, and knowledge employers are looking for.

What You’ll Gain

  • Increased confidence and workplace readiness
  • Practical experience through a supported care placement
  • Improved communication skills, including active listening and empathy
  • Understanding of key care frameworks and legislation
  • Awareness of trauma-informed and person-centred care
  • First aid awareness and basic risk assessment skills
  • A work-ready CV and support to progress into employment, training, or further qualifications
