Event description
London's Screen Archives present an introduction to cataloguing, writing descriptions and metadata for archive film and video.

About this Event

Join the London's Screen Archives team for the second session in a series of online archive training events. Designed for archivists, librarians, curators, amateur enthusiasts and anyone working in or interested in heritage who wants to extend their skills into archive film and video, the training offers participants a chance to learn the core elements of film and video cataloguing, including different styles of description (and their uses) and an introduction to metadata, in order to get involved in preserving and sharing precious historical footage. The course is delivered online via Microsoft Teams, and participants from across the UK and beyond are welcome to attend. For further details of the programme, please contact david.whorlow@filmlondon.org.uk

*Please note, this is a virtual version of the in-person training event we previously delivered at London Metropolitan Archives in October 2019. The ticket is valid for this session only; future sessions will be announced at a later date and ticketed separately.
