This event is ideal for adults who enjoy being outdoors, want to sharpen their wildlife ID skills, or simply love learning something new.

What is Citizen Science?

Citizen science is the practice of members of the public contributing to scientific research. Participants collect observations, record data, or help analyze information, often using simple tools or apps. It allows people of all backgrounds to support real scientific projects while learning more about the world around them.

Note: In order to get the most benefit fromthis session, it is recommended that you have a smartphone with the free iNaturalist app installed.

What to expect:

  • Discover amazing wildlife hiding in plain sight
  • Snap photos, share your finds, and contribute to a real scientific survey
  • We'll end the sessino with a cup of tea under the trees

What to bring:

  • A smartphone with the free iNaturalist app (if you have one)
  • Outdoor clothes and sturdy shoes; it might get muddy!
