Introduction to eBird recording

St Mary’s Fields Nature ReserveKidlington, England
Saturday, Feb 28 from 10 am to 12 pm GMT
Overview

A great opportunity for a practical training session on how to identify and record birds on the eBird app

Glenn Pascoe (OOS) will be leading a practical training session on how to identify and record birds on the eBird app.

St Mary’s Fields Nature Reserve is a fantastic spot offering a mix of open ground, scrub and riverside habitats, giving us plenty of opportunities to practice logging different species, from Red Kites overhead to winter thrushes and finches in the hedgerows.

The fields are likely to have been previously flodded and very muddy. Please wear wellies or sturdy waterproof walking boots.

Don't worry if you are not an expert at identifying every bird, the goal of this session is to learn the method of recording what you do see.
