Grants and free business support available to existing businesses which have been trading for less than three years with less than three employees who are looking for business support and grant funding to grow their business.The programme provides training workshops, 1:1 support, information sessions, online learning, mentoring, networking and peer support. Delivered by YTKO and funded by the UK Government and Portsmouth City Council through the Community Renewal Fund.

This is the first of three parts of the Introduction to Enterprise workshops on the Outset Start and Grow programme.About this EventAre you based in Portsmouth and want to start your own business? Do you have an idea for a new enterprise, it could be a hobby or perhaps you want to go self employed in your current role and be your own boss?This course will introduce you to all aspects of starting your own business and going self employed. Delivered over Zoom in a group setting, the course is run by our business advisors who will guide you through the content and give you plenty of opportunity to ask them questions throughout the course.We aim to help increase your confidence, knowledge and motivate you on your business start-up journey.On Day One we will cover:• Business Objections- identifying any potential barriers you feel may stand in your way of creating a successful business.• Market Research- understanding what market research is and why it is useful to develop your business ideas.• Entrepreneurship- what it means to be an entrepreneur and to run your own business.• Sustainability- what the different types of sustainability are and understanding how these align with your business.• Branding- what branding is and why it’s so important to understand the brand you want to create________________________________________________________________________________________________Are you eligible to attend?You must be based in Portsmouth, postcodes PO1 to PO6 and fill in your full name and address details during the Eventbrite registration process.You must have completed a client enrolment form before attending the workshop. If we do not receive it in good time it may mean that we are unable to send you the Zoom details to access the workshop.The Zoom details for the workshop will be sent to you the day before the workshop takes place.________________________________________________________________________________________________Outset Start and Grow is a new, intensive programme of structured business support and grants, funded by the Community Renewal Fund (CRF) and Portsmouth City Council.The programme is focussed on regenerating communities and enabling more people to benefit from economic growth through investment in skills, enterprise and employment.Portsmouth City Council received funding from the CRF for this new business support and grant programme, which will be delivered across its region by Outset Start and Grow. It will equip new and existing enterprises with the business skills they need for sustainable growth and creating new jobs.________________________________________________________________________________________________Booking is essential as places are limited to ensure maximum learning and benefit for each participant.
