Overview

Come and find out about the Forest School ethos and principles, develop practical skills and an understanding of the woodland environment.

This non-accredited experience day is for those who would like to know more about Forest School. Maybe you are thinking about training as a Forest School Leader or Assistant, you already volunteer or assist at your school or setting's Forest School - or you are planning to - or your child is attending Forest School sessions and you would like to know more.

This is a practical day where you will discover the ethos and prinicples behind Forest School, learn some practical skills such as knots, basic tool use and fire lighting and gain a better understanding of the woodland environment.

Cost of the course: £60

Booking essential - bookings close at 1pm on Friday 6th February 2026.

Please do not bring your own tools, all equipment will be supplied.

Please bring your own drinks, snacks and packed lunch. Please wear warm & waterproof clothing and sturdy shoes or boots and be prepared to spend the entire session outdoors.
