Create stunning videos with InShot – no experience needed!

• Do you see other people's amazing videos online but don't feel confident to do it yourself?
• Do you want to apply for a fund where the grant givers ask for a video submission?
• Can you enhance the promotion of your project or service with a video, but not sure where to start?

Videos can be a fantastic way to tell your story and share your messages, with typically higher levels of engagement online than text and images. Having some great video content could make a real difference to your organisation by allowing you to clearly evidence the impact you maek, promote your project or service more effectively and gather engaging case studies.

What will the training include?

During this session, guest speaker Chris Hunt-Watts will teach you how to harness the power of your mobile phone to create simple but impactful videos through the free app, InShot. You will be given a demonstration of the app in action and then assisted in getting hands on to create your first demo video.

This practical workshop is designed for beginners, so no prior video editing experience is required. We’ll guide you step-by-step through InShot’s powerful features, showing you how to trim, add music, apply effects and create eye-catching videos that stand out.

By the end of the session you’ll have the confidence and skills to produce polished, professional-looking videos for social media, marketing, or personal projects all from the palm of your hand.

You'll leave this session feeling confident and inspired to have a go at making your own video!

What will I need to bring to the session?

• Please bring your own/work smartphone to the session (DCT do not have phones avaiable for this session).
• Where possible, please download the app before attending. Most smartphones will be able to run InShot but we are unable to guarantee this. If you have any questions about how to download and access the app once you have registered, please contact us on info@devoncommunities.org.uk.
• As InShot is a phone app, some users may find the small screen a barrier. In these cases, we would be happy to direct you to software available on a larger device, although the use of this software will not be covered in the session
