Blackhorse Workshop

A one-off evening course for absolute beginners, Mia Sabel and Colin Coutts from <A HREF="http://www.sabelsaddlery.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SABEL Saddlery</A> will teach you the very basics of traditional saddlery, including leather preparation, hands-on hand-stitching and hand-burnishing. Over the course of the evening, you’ll test out these techniques, learning how to double stitch and create your own personalised leather credit card case. This course is perfect for anyone interested in working with leather, and we will provide you with a list of specialist suppliers, suggested courses, and the basic equipment you’ll need to get you started.

Following a successful career in brand, design and theatre, Mia Sabel left her job in the City to retrain as a Saddler. Mia now uses traditional saddlery techniques and materials to create a range of classic leather products, focussing on bespoke leather watch straps: hand-made, hand-stitched and hand-finished in her Walthamstow workshop. <A HREF="http://www.sabelsaddlery.co.uk/home.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.sabelsaddlery.co.uk</A>
