Event description

Description

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis we have been advised to postpone all events for a minimum of the next two months. As you’ll be aware, this is having a devastating effect on many sectors. We are doing all we can to ensure fairness and responsibility to our customers, our staff, volunteers and our partners.

Refunds and cancellations of all our courses, whilst possible, will be financially extremely difficult for The Globe Foundation as a non profit. We are sympathetic to everyone’s circumstances but if you are able to, we would ask you not to cancel but rather to wait and let us contact you to with new dates once things settle, your ticket will remain valid for the new date.

We are monitoring the situation daily and will be keeping you updated with regards to the new dates. These are unprecedented and uncertain times so we very much appreciate your understanding.

Stay safe and healthy.

Kind Regards

The Globe Team

OVERVIEW

This beginner's workshop explores lino printing, also known as linocutting, a printmaking technique that goes back to the early 20th century. It’s an effective method for creating multiple artistic prints.

This environmentally-sound print method is fantastic for making cards, gifts and many other keepsakes. Lino printing is also a respected form of fine art, so this is an incredibly versatile method to work with and flex your creative muscles. You can create any number of styles under the guidance of our instructor, working with natural inks and papers. All tools will be provided and you will finish the workshop with printed gift cards and your own linocut block for future prints.

REFRESHMENTS

Tea and coffee will be provided.
