Introduction to NEC (GBP)

The NEC suite of contracts are some of the most popular standard form contracts in the UK, with increasing popularity in Ireland. This half-day course is designed to introduce delegates to the key contractual mechanisms within the NEC suite, with emphasis on the NEC “Engineering and Construction Contract”, though the procedures are similar under the other forms of contract.

• Structure of the ECC contract 

• Review of the early warning mechanism 

• Understanding the compensation events 

• Review of the payment mechanism
