What You’ll Learn:
Introduction to Pattern Making
- What is a pattern?
- Essential tools of the trade
- Understanding pattern anatomy
Pattern adaptions
- What is a block, and why is it important?
- Learn to create various skirt adaptations in ½ scale: flared skirt, wrap skirt, yoke with panels, circular skirt and skirt with godets
- How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches
- If time permits, create a toile to test your pattern
- Please bring appropriate woven fabric for your toile
