This course is suitable for anyone considering working with children in a Play based setting or for new workers just beginning on their journey into playwork.
This fascinating course introduces Playwork and its unique role in the well-being of our children. The course details exactly what Playwork is (and isn’t) and highlights exactly what makes Playwork unique and very different from other roles working with children. The course also shows how a Playworker, by following the Playwork Principles, can create profoundly important play opportunities for children. The course then explores the role of the playworker and what qualifications and experience are needed to pursue this career. The course also discusses different types of playwork setting and career opportunities available to anyone wanting to embark on this vital career.
