This course is designed as an introduction for those involved in projects, who wish to extend their skills and knowledge.

The investment aims to address skills shortages and courses have been identified through consultation with businesses and industry bodies. Delegates must be Entitled or Entitled for work*<h3>Target audience:</h3>Aimed at delegates from any industry who are new to project management, or who have some experience and are beginning to manage or work on projects more regularly<h3>Course content:</h3><ul><li>Understanding the benefits of project management for organisations, and the barriers to effective project management.</li><li>Defining a project: what it is and what it is not. Understanding the role of project management methodologies, including Prince2 and Agile project management.</li><li>Exploring project roles and responsibilities, and considering the needs of project stakeholders.</li><li>Understanding the role of a project manager and assessing the personal skills needed to perform the role effectively.</li><li>Structuring a project for success: starting a project, running a project and closing a project.
