Introduction to Python training session run by the Jean Golding Institute

<h3>Audience Level: Beginner</h3>This workshop will teach Python from the very beginning and assumes no knowledge or experience of programming. This training session is perfect for newcomers who are just starting out and want to learn the basics. <h3>Session Information:</h3>Python is a well-established language for data analysis. If you don’t have Python on your laptop, we recommend installing it via Anaconda following <a href="https://bristol-training.github.io/applied-data-analysis-in-python/pages/001-workspace-setup.html" title="https://bristol-training.github.io/applied-data-analysis-in-python/pages/001-workspace-setup.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">these instructions</a>.We are running an in-person and online <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/drop-in-installation-help-session-for-python-training-hybrid-tickets-1306691251709" title="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/drop-in-installation-help-session-for-python-training-hybrid-tickets-1306691251709" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">JGI drop-in installation session</a> on Friday 30th May from 11:30-12:45 - if you require any help in installing any software please attend this session. <h3>Intended Learning Outcomes:</h3><ul><li>Understand what a programming language is.</li><li>Know how to execute instructions or commands in Python.</li><li>Have the skills to create a simple Python script.</li><li>Feel more confident to embark on your programming journey!</li></ul>
