Introduction to Python

Jumping Rivers is an analytics company based in the North East who specialise in creating bespoke solutions for modern business problems. Their team is made up of experts in data science and data engineering from many different backgrounds, and their wealth of knowledge and experience allows them to think outside the box and solve problems in new and innovative ways.

In this one-day introductory course, participants will learn to import, summarise and visualise their data using Python programming.

Python is a general-purpose programming language popular among data scientists and statisticians. In this one-day introductory course, participants will learn to import, summarise and visualise their data. At each step, we avoid using “magic code”, and stress the importance of understanding what Python is doing.This is an online course and will take place, from 13:30 - 17:00 (UK time), on the 12-13 Oct 2026. The closing date for enrollment is 5 Oct 2026.
