Introduction to Risograph Printing

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, we have taken the difficult decision to put on hold our workshop programme to ensure the safety of our visitors and community.Our workshops (bookbinding, printing, publishing, and related skills) have always been at the heart of what we do. As a small organisation this is obviously a big challenge for us but we are confident that we will weather the storm and this is the right decision for us to take at this time.We are in the midst of transforming the studio so that it is “Covid secure,” and we hope to welcome back visitors in the not too distant future.

London Centre for Book Arts

Suitable for complete beginners. Join us for practical, hands-on workshops led by experts at the London Centre for Book Arts. The Risograph duplicator is a digital printer that uses spot colours (soy-based inks) and stencils (masters) to create unique and vivid prints at a fraction of the cost of most other forms of printing. An ideal workshop for people to learn the skills to create their own greeting cards, artist books, pamphlets and posters. During this workshop participants will learn how to prepare work and print using a Riso printer from start to finish; and as a group, we will print text, photos, drawings and two-colour images on a variety of paper stocks and sizes. Accessibility: LCBA is wheelchair accessible and barrier free.  There are accessible and gender neutral toilets.  Public transport options to LCBA can be seen here: <A CLASS="m_-2797474899313706279OWAAutoLink" HREF="https://londonbookarts.org/about/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://londonbookarts.org/about/</A> but the routes from stations to LCBA has uneven pavements that are narrow. There are two disabled parking spaces just across the road from the entrance to LCBA. Please contact us for more information on access.
