Spring Incubator 2022

Events and workshops forming the Creative Futures Spring programme, which ran from February to July 2022.

This session will offer an overview of the key elements of Creative Futures programme. You will learn about UAL’s creative community and our incubation courses at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon College of Arts. Meet some of the guest speakers, project mentors and previous participants of our incubation programme. The webinar will also present some top tips on how to apply. We’ll explain how you sign up and select from the seven modules, designing your own experience to fit around your availability, individual goals and business support needs. You do not need to have attended university. Whether you have a start-up or small business, are part of a collective or social enterprise, or, if you are a ‘solopreneur’ running your own practice or starting out as a freelancer, the programme is for you. You might be developing a fashion label, theatre company, sustainable tech platform, game production studio, or creative agency.SpeakersRachael Baskeyfied, UAL Creative Futures Project Manager: Rachael is a creative careers, enterprise and organisational change specialist, with a focus on equity, inclusion and talent development. She has supported the growth of hundreds of freelancers, founders, collectives and small businesses working across the creative, cultural and tech sectors in London for the last 6 years. She manages the Creative Futures programme alongside the wider Graduate Incubation team at UAL. Anna B. Sexton, Open to Create...: Anna B. Sexton is the founder of Open To Create… a creative social enterprise. They are offering creative coaching, enterprise mentoring and training to creative freelancers, founders, and mission-driven leadership teams from across the world. She is known for her values-led, holistic, person-centred and playful approaches to sustainable venture creation. She has worked with a range of student and graduate entrepreneurs with UAL, UCL, LSBU, UEL, and LJMU.
