Intuitive Junk Journaling Workshop
Explore the joyful art of junk journaling to reconnect to your creativity, process emotions and save memories through craft and collage.
Art Gurl is coming across the pond and we're teaming up to dive into the art of junk journaling!!!
Explore the joyful art of junk journaling as a way to reconnect to your creativity. We'll talk about using creativity as a tool for processing emotions and saving memories, and tips for making your journal practice into a lovely and sustainable habit to enhance your creative life and overall wellness!
Come meet one of New York's friendliest junk journalers and let's create together :)
We'll provide a range of materials to kick off your junk journaling journey, but please bring your own journal (if you have one!) and any upcycled materials to craft with too. Stuck for ideas? Here's some suggestions of what you could bring: receipts, tickets, scrap paper, pages of writing, photographs, bits of packaging, secondhand stamps, old books/mags, junk mail, old sewing patterns, wrapping paper scraps, napkins...you get the idea, anything goes!
No need to stress about coming solo, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow attendees through the joyful craft of junk journaling! This is your opportunity to take some time to craft, connect and self-express. What are you waiting for?
What you will receive:
- All the materials needed to design your junk journal pages, including bespoke stickers from Art Gurl!
- A relaxed and social environment to create, with drinks and food available from the lovely Pipoca Vegan Cafe
- Guidance on junk journaling and how to create mixed media pages to document your memories and process emotions
- Advice on how to turn journaling into an enriching and sustainable habit
