Inversions Lab: Upside Down Practice
Join us to defy gravity and explore the world of inversions in a fun Upside Down Practice session!
Let's go Upside Down (or give it a go!) in the Inversions Lab.
Suitable for students who are new to inversions or looking to deepen their confidence and technique. This workshop offers guidance for students wanting to add headstand (Sirsasana) and forearm stand (Pincha Mayurāsana) into their practice.
We’ll begin by breaking down the key foundations of the two inversions, including shoulder stability, core engagement, and entry/exit techniques. Students will have time to explore headstand, and the option to work towards forearm stand.

⭐ Level & Suitability
This workshop is open to all levels, but having some vinyasa or general yoga experience will help you get the most from the session. This workshop is not suitable for pregnant students due to the nature of inversions and abdominal engagement.
⭐ Accessibility
There will be a mix of standing, kneeling, and weight bearing on the arms. If someone is unable to stand for long periods, many drills can be modified or done seated or on the floor. However, students should be comfortable with light upper-body weight bearing and moving on and off the floor. We’ll use blocks and straps if you want to bring their own
