Answer this: how far would you go to better yourself? Would you lie to your mother? Would you deny your inheritance? Would you intervene with your DNA?
Following a sell-out run in 2017, Invincible is returning to Bristol in spring 2018!
The result of extensive consultation with the University of Bristol’s Synthetic Biology researchers, Invincible puts each and every audience member at the heart of a contemporary moral dilemma. This is an urgent and immersive play, commissioned to feed into a critical debate as scientists break new ground daily.
Written in collaboration with playwright, David Lane, and produced by theatrical pioneers, Kilter, performances take place with small audiences at ‘point-blank range’. Staged in the pressure-cooker environment of a real residential flat, set in 2048, three women traverse three generations as the political and scientific become intensely personal. And all along Bristol's Synthetic Biologists will be listening.
Each performance is followed by either a Q&A, chaired by Invincible Director Olly Langdon, or a relaxed, informal discussion, with the cast and specialist guests. Then it’s up to you: how far would you go?

The following performances will be followed by a Q&A with the cast and synthetic biology researchers, chaired by Director Olly Langdon:
Saturday 10 March - 3pm Monday 12 March - 7.30pm Sunday 18 March - 7.30pm
All other performances will be followed by a relaxed, informal, discussion.

Venue A residential flat in Clifton, Bristol. Full details will be provided to ticket holders the week before the performance. 
The pre-performance waiting area is outside the venue. There is some covered space, and we will have umbrellas available, but please bring appropriate clothing / waterproofs!
Access Access to the venue is via a flight of ten steep, curved steps – we regret it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. No wheelchair access.
Toilet facilities Toilet facilities are not available at the venue before or during the performance - they will only be accessible once the performance has finished. Public conveniences and a range of cafes, bars and restaurants can be found on Queens Road (a 10 minute walk).

Transport & parking No parking available at venue. Where possible we encourage audience members to travel to the venue on foot or by public transport. A number of bus stops can be found a 5 minute walk from the venue.
