Join us for a transformative two-day hackathon, designed to equip girls and young women with the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to shape the future of technology.

You’ll explore responsible artificial intelligence, take your first steps in programming and work with others to create practical solutions to real-world challenges linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

No previous experience in programming or technology is required. All you need is curiosity, courage and a desire to learn.

Meet the inspirational Lady Mariéme Jamme

Participants will have the exceptional opportunity to meet Lady Mariéme Jamme, the award-winning Senegalese-British entrepreneur, global technology leader, and ICON, and founder of iamtheCODE, who will be travelling to Chile especially for this historic event.

Lady Mariéme is a powerful and deeply inspiring leader whose personal journey has transformed lives around the world. She has spent over a decade helping women and girls from some of the most challenging and underserved communities to gain access to education, coding, artificial intelligence and leadership opportunities.

Her message is simple: your background does not define your future.

Meeting Lady Mariéme, hearing her story and learning from her experience can change the way you see yourself, your potential and your future. She will encourage every participant to think big, to believe in their abilities and to realise that they, too, can become a leader, innovator and creator in the world of AI.

What can you expect?

Two interactive days of learning, innovation and inspiration alongside more than 120 young women, mentors and experts in programming and artificial intelligence.

You:

● Will develop practical skills in artificial intelligence, programming and innovation.

● Will learn how technology can help solve pressing social and environmental challenges.

● Will work with experienced mentors to turn your ideas into real solutions.

● Will build confidence in your creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills.

● You’ll join a global community of women and girls determined to make an impact.

Who can take part?

The hackathon is open to girls and young women aged between 16 and 25 who are curious about technology and ready to bring about positive change.

Places are limited, so we strongly recommend registering as soon as possible.

About iamtheCODE

iamtheCODE is the first global movement led by Africans that mobilises governments, businesses, philanthropic foundations, investors and civil society organisations to promote STEAMD education: science, technology, engineering, arts, maths and design.

For over a decade, iamtheCODE has been working to create one of the world’s largest networks of young women and girls equipped with skills in coding, artificial intelligence, leadership and future-readiness, particularly in marginalised and underserved communities.

In collaboration with United Nations agencies (UNESCO and the UNDP) and with the support of the International Telecommunication Union, iamtheCODE is bringing the 90th edition of its global hackathon programme to Chile.
