iQI Sprint

TheQuality Improvement (QI) programmeis one of the key initiatives atImperial College Healthcare NHS Trustto help deliver on the promise 'better health for life'.The Imperial College Healthcare QI programme launched in September 2015 alongside our new Trust values & behaviours, which strongly underpin the programme. The QI programme aims to build a culture of continuous improvement within the Trust.We have so far engaged with over 6,500 staff around QI, initiated a broad ranging training & coaching programme and are supporting quality improvement projects to design and implement team-based tests of change. We have begun to transform our approach to patient, public, citizen and carer involvement and how we collaboratively approach system wide change.

Are you interested in improving patient care in the NHS?
Imperial College Healthcare Trust have launched a new series of iQI Sprints to tackle problems that staff are facing in their daily working lives. An iQI Sprint is an intense day of team work where healthcare staff, patients, artists, engineers and designers work together to come up with innovative solutions and test these new ideas with patients and hospital staff.

The iQI Sprints are open to anyone; you might have a particular interst in healthcare, or an interest in service design or quality improvement or you might be really skilled at problem solving. The iQI Sprints bring together a fantastic mix of people.
 
The day will be facilitated by Dan Phillips, an independent service designer who is also a visiting tutor at the Royal College of Art, helping teams to apply design processes to challenge the established ways of doing things across the Trust and NHS.

Intel® Code For Good will now be providing a $500 prize to support a project from the Sprint as part of an initiative support projects that look  to improve the community and demonstrate a passion for collaboration. The winners will also be highlighted in a small article to feature on the Intel Developer Zone website.
