The O&#x27;Connor Academy of Irish Dance are putting this free class on for children interested in Irish dancing from the age of 5 onwards. The class take place in the marquee at the York Irish St. Patrick&#x27;s Festival before the marquee opens to the public. The class is open to both complete beginners and experienced dancers. The class is completely free to attend. Places are limited so reserve your place before it&#x27;s too late. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The O&#x27;Connor Academy of Irish dance is based in Hull, Beverley and York, under the direction of Victoria Whincup, T.C.R.G. They are registered with An Comisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha, the largest governing body for Irish dance. Their aim is to teach Irish Dancing to the best of a child&#x27;s ability and to make it an enjoyable and memorable experience for all involved. Classes are held from beginner to championship level, starting from the age of three. Their classes are customised to suit each child, whether they want to compete, take part in displays or just dance for fun.
