Overview

This event is a business-focused discussion on inclusion and diversity on real-world experiences.

Join the WCIT LGBTQ+ Social Group and Armed Forces Committee on 25 June for an evening collaboration event with OutBritain, the UK’s LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce and Veteran Owned UK, the UK’s largest online business directory of businesses owned by a serving member of the armed forces, a veteran or a spouse of either.

This event will include keynote speakers, an engaging panel discussion and debate on the theme of whether inclusivity is equitable – followed by a networking drinks reception. Gus Machado, WCIT Master will open the event; Maggie Berry OBE, WCIT Liveryman, will moderate the discussion. Speakers are Alderman Tim Hailes; Craig Bodey, MD of Balliante, an LGBTQ+ owned technology support business, Nick Haley, MD of Little Big Tech, a veteran owned IT and cyber business and Rich Bishop, Director of with digital and WCIT Liveryman. They will all be sharing their views and real-world experiences of inclusion within their own business journeys.

Come ready to find out more about the topic of business inclusion and the importance of not only hiring staff from different backgrounds but also considering buying products and services from diverse owned businesses and the positive economic impact that can bring to the technology industry and wider UK and global economies.

This event is open to all – including members and guests of WCIT, OutBritain and Veteran Owned UK and everyone interested in being conscious about inclusion across all areas of business. The evening will start with light refreshments courtesy of Combat 2 Coffee, a veteran owned business.
