Description

Virtual Pair Programmers are excited to announce that Bita Jabbari will be joining us from Lexicon, Sweden on Monday 23rd at 6pm. Bita will be sharing with us how they successfully delivered a Swedish Government contract with TNG Digital to pilot a scheme aimed at getting more women into technology roles (Java4Women). She will discuss some of the challenges and lessons learned during the process.

After the talk we will be joined by some high calibre, inspirational local influencers for a thought-provoking and honest panel discussion. We’ll be discussing topics such as identifying and overcoming barriers to inclusion and the state of female progression within the sector. The event promises to provide a fantastic forum to help you establish what the keys to success really are.

Aimed at companies that are finding it challenging to attract female talent into tech roles and individuals who want to widen the discussion around how to improve gender diversity in the digital sector.

We will round the evening off with some time to share drinks and nibbles and to network with the panel and audience members.

Panel members include:-

Aline Hayes, a highly experienced senior leader in transformation. Currently Head of Systems at Lloyds Bank, Aline has experience at CIO and non Executive Director level.

Tom Hudson, Technical Trainer at Sky Betting & Gaming; responsible for developing and delivering technical training to both experienced engineers and recent graduates.
