Independent Venue Week (IVW) is the UK’s annual 7-day celebration of independent music &amp; arts venues and the people that own, run and work in them. Both HandsBoth Hands are an Edinburgh-based electro-pop band comprising of Hailey Beavis and Brian Pokora.“Both Hands are crunchy Mark Bell-era Bjork electronics meets beautiful, Kate Bush melodies and rich reminiscences from a singer not afraid to leave the stage and dance like no-one is watching, while singing of the North Sea and the wind in the trees.” - The Morning Star“Offering up a heady mixture of knob-twiddling electronics, trip-hop and performance art, the pair make an immediate impression. Pokora (dressed in tiny swimming trunks and a Hawaiian shirt) focuses intently on his buttons and dials, jiving alongside Beavis (a blonde enigma clad entirely in black), whose expressive vocals and vivid dance moves are mesmerising.
