Join Steve England on a a basket weaving workshop, collecting your own materials from Stoke Park and weaving your own natural basket.
Join Steve England on a a basket weaving workshop, where you will wander the woodlands to identify and collect your basket materials, then head back to the Hub on Gainsborough Square to create your very own basket with a solid Ash wood base, and woven sides made from foraged hazel withies or Ivy.
The session will teach you transferable skills of material foraging and weaving for you to take away, plus you will leave with your very own handmade basket!
This event is aimed at adults, however over 12's are welcome with accompanying adult.
What to Bring?
A pair of secateurs, gloves, sturdy footwear and a packed lunch!
