Overview

Join us to discover the key challenges and opportunities of the cluster.

This meeting will be held jointly with the Innovative Manufacturing Working Group and will introduce the newly launched West Midlands Manufacturing of Future Housing Cluster to members of both working groups.

Come along to hear about the cluster’s mission and progress to date, and engage with expert speakers.

As is usual for all Innovative Working Group meetings, there will be opportunities to connect with others to explore how you can collaborate to innovate to address these challenges and take advantage of these opportunities.

About the Cluster

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is advancing the manufacturing of future housing clusters using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and advanced manufacturing to deliver energy-efficient, sustainable, and affordable homes more quickly. The approach combines pre-fabrication, digital tools, and automation with collaborative innovation hubs, research, and skills development to create high-value jobs and boost regional productivity. By integrating sustainability standards, investment support, and workforce training, the programme aims to transform construction into a low-carbon, high-tech industry while meeting housing targets.

Inclusivity Matters: Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands is committed to making innovation inclusive for all. During registration, we will ask a few demographic questions. Your responses are confidential and will only be used to improve accessibility and representation at our events. They may also be used for project reporting purposes and will only be shared with organisations directly involved in reporting activities.
