Jam Making Masterclass
Event Information
Description
Learn how to make jams with the best of them as Alice McIlhagger of Brambleberry Jams shows off her skills in this Jam Making Masterclass.
You’ll make jams using the traditional methods of small hand cut batches cooked slowly on an old pink aga in the painstakingly restored, Grade 2 listed Georgian Townhouse on Moira’s Main Street. The diverse range of flavours offered by Brambleberry Jams will be showcased during the lesson as you taste each jam on freshly baked homemade wheaten. So not only do you get to indulge in learning a time honoured cooking skill, but you get to do it in one of Moira’s treasured buildings. A rare opportunity not to be missed!
It all culminates in your very own jar of already made jam to take home before heading towards Moira Demesne for Moira Speciality Food Fair. You can also buy more Brambleberry Jam flavours at the Indie Fude stall at Moira Speciality Food Fair, which runs from 10am until 6pm on Saturday 17th August and 11am until 5pm on Sunday 18th August.
