Japanese Otsumami (small plates) Workshop
Love Japanese food? Why not join us for a fun filled hands on workshop creating a selection of Otsumami dishes?
Join us for a relaxed and hands-on 3-hour Japanese cookery workshop, inspired by the small plates and snacks served in izakaya across Japan.
Otsumami are simple yet deeply flavourful dishes, designed for sharing and casual dining with drinks. In this Saturday afternoon class, we’ll cook together in our modern, spacious kitchen, learning practical techniques and classic Japanese flavour combinations that are easy to recreate at home.
You’ll be guided step by step by a professional tutor, with plenty of time to cook, ask questions, and enjoy the process. At the end of the session, you’ll take home a generous selection of dishes to share.
Example Menu
- Gyoza
- Tsukune (Japanese chicken meatballs)
- Okonomiyaki
- Tataki kyuri (smashed cucumber salad)
- Yamitsuki cabbage (addictive sesame cabbage)
- Izakaya-style potato salad
Menu may vary slightly depending on dietary requirements and ingredient availability.
