About this event

You’ve watched his clips on Instagram, you’ve shared his standup with your friends and family on TikTok, now it’s time to see Jarlath Regan’s funny bits live and in person. The brand new standup show from the man behind some of the most hilarious viral standup comedy clips is finally here. After selling out every single seat on his “Yer Man” tour in 2024, Jarlath returns to the Everyman Cork with a completely fresh, never before seen standup comedy show guaranteed to have you “In Bits”.

After 2 years of making us laugh out loud into our phones, half million followers, hundreds of millions of views, thousands of seats filled across America, Ireland and the U.K. - Jar- lath Regan is back with a totally new barnstorming standup show like nothing you’ve ever seen before. “The jewel in the Irish comedy crown” (The Examiner)

In a world of relentlessly bleak news and constant negativity, Jarlath Regan’s new show invites us to take a break from it all and make space for laughter. Patrick Kielty described it as like watching “a master at work”. Audiences all over the world agreed. In 2023 his feel good “Yer Man” standup comedy show took the country by storm. Selling out a whopping six nights at the 3Olympia, The O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and more than 80 dates across 12 months of relentless touring, his hotly anticipated next show is finally here. “A subtle yet sublime helping of observational wit” - The Herald

Now he is taking on America and selling out dates in colossal theatres in New York, Chicago and Boston within 48 hours of going on sale! His newest standup show begins its world tour this winter. Jarlath says, “In Bits is a show I’ve been working on for a few years. It’s by far the funniest collections of bits I’ve ever written. What can people expect? A brand new hour of standup designed to make every single member of your family laugh. If you’ve seen my stuff on Instagram you’ll know what I mean. My comedy isn’t about trig- gering people. It’s about that beautiful moment of distraction we might get once a day when we rock our head back and laugh. I’m going to give you that for 90 minutes.”

Universally enjoyable – 90 minutes of jaw-achingly funny anecdotes which spanned every topic imaginable.” - The Post

“Downright hilarious...comedy genius” The Irish Times *****
“Had the audience shaking so violently with laughter they probably could have charged

their phones” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

The Portico of Ards ('Portico') is an Arts and Heritage Centre in Portaferry, County Down, at the mouth of Strangford Lough in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (45 mins south of Belfast).

Built in 1841, Portico is a venue with unique grade A listed Greek architecture. It is owned by the charity Portico of Ards Ltd. but still used every Sunday morning by the Portaferry Presbyterian congregation (now our tenants).

Portico was restored and reopened in 2016 as a venue for events: Classical, Comedy, Country, Folk, Jazz, Organ, Pop, Rock, Theatre and more!

We also offer guided tours of the architecture, heritage exhibitions and the refurbished organ with its spectacular modern console.

Portico is a social enterprise that aims to make life better for locals and visitors. We believe that arts and heritage brings joy to individuals and social and economic benefits to the wider community by attracting visitors and local spend.

We are a charity, operating on a not-for-profit basis.
